Internet - Social Networks - What i need to know about Twitter Dangers

When i decided to write this article i was thinking about some innocent people and other that are not but that get caught for the few experience within social networks like twitter.

Everyone that know twitter knows that seems like a simple tool that we can use to send messages in real time, and it is a message tool but is not so simple.

There are hundred of thousand persons using the twitter, even they have 1 to 10 different accounts, and it seems everyone wants to be in there.

When twitter appeared in the Internet, did you ask "Why i need this?", many people did, I did, and they are there, and Yes, I'm too.

Now, the questions:

1. Is twitter a good tool?
2. Is twitter good for everyone?
3. Is twitter dangerous?

The answers:

1. I think twitter is a good tool yes (depending for who)
2. I think twitter is only good for people that understand what they are really doing
3. Twitter is dangerous like the other social network where we share our personal info

For enterprises

We know, is a very good tool for your enterprise or organization, now, knowing that there are people following your messages, and also storing it, be careful when you say things like:

• My boss is not here at the moment, he went to X? place
• The safe is in X? place
• During certain periodt of the day or night there is no one in the office
• Our next project that we are working is X?

When you start to give references and locations about your work, hours, who is there, who isn't, where you keep the projects, where the boss keeps the money or the docs, don't forget that may be someone interested in knowing this so it can enter in action

For kids

Can you imagine, while you are working, your kid is revealing some info for dozens, hundreds or even thousands of people!

What kind of info he would share?

Answer is: The info which is Twitter speciality,

• "What I'm doing"
  
• and "where am i at the moment"
• and "with who I'm", maybe alone

Can you imagine the velocity that Twitter permits some inexperienced kid sending information that can put him in danger and your family, come on, open the eyes, we are not living in the "roses country" or the "paradise yet".

For you

Can you imagine (if this didn't happen already) someone that do not like you or a false friend or a "friend" that likes to joke with others moaning on him playing around with your profile's picture?

Yeah, many idiots are doing this with other people photos and videos, to them is funny, to the others is a pain sometimes for life.

Follow the good route:

• Use a profile's photo that won't show all your body or isn't your personal photo
• Try not to include pictures where you are with your wife, kids or family (they would like to play around with innocent people in the photo)
• Don't give away private info about you
• Don't reveal your real location or address
• Do not tell if you are leaving the house and who is inside
• Don't show your e-mail address in twitter never (people will sell it if they can)
• Your telephone is not good idea unless you want to wake up in the middle of the night

If you use twitter with elegance you will do only what you need to do.
