Internet - The Best Anti Virus

I wrote this article, not to show you a real product for your computer, (since no one will pay me for this) but to show you:

• What is a anti virus
• How it works
• Do you need it?
• What is a good anti virus
• How to protect your self

I know that the majority hates to read articles to find solutions, they prefer the action, if actions for some people is to search some product in the Internet, for others is a simple act of asking someone for his opinion (a friend perhaps), and then we forget the subject.

Anti Virus "is a Software application that prevents, detect and remove computer virus and malware"

This is what you will read, if you search for an answer to this question, but there are many other things evolved around this question.

In reality a Anti Virus is a Software Application that belongs to an Enterprise, Organization, Group...etc that wants more than your protection.

• Is it wrong to earn money producing a software to help others?
• Is it bad to have a famous product?
• And is it wrong to show more work than the others finding computer "threats"?

My personal answer is, No, there's nothing wrong, but only if they are doing this in a serious and professional way, but we know they don't.

These programs or applications use various type of strategies, like:

• Searching for known patterns
• Looking for data with executable code
• Executing suspected apps in a "sandbox" (executing code separately from operating system) to find threats

They also become able to connect to the Internet, send and receive info for updating it's data bases

Lets talk serious, if you have a computer to work and you never connect nothing to it, you will never need a Anti Virus.

But this is not easy, one day or another you will need to Install some program from a CD/DVD ...etc, Insert a Pen Drive, connect to another computer or even to a printer that was used for other computers.

Is here where the danger of having threats entering inside your computer will begin, so you will need protection since the prevention will not solve all.

The best thing you can do for your PC is to use it's Operating System Firewall, use the Firewall from your Operating System, is always the best one, the others are purely almost all commercial

Each year there are some Anti Virus that is in Top, every one speaks about it, and probably someone will tell you that it's the best, but do not forget that everyone wants to sell their products, and some of it will make extra work showing you threats inside your computer that do not exists, and other that are not really a threat.

So before you choose one, remember that when you install a Program inside your computer, it will have some powers to communicate and send, as well to receive info from other computers "servers...etc" so:

• There are no "The best Anti Virus", almost all Anti Virus software are good in a way or the other
  
• You do not want to chose some product from a unknown company or organization before you read about it and to have certain that is a trusty one
• If the product is a Freeware, be careful, try to find what is that they are earning with this (since no one gives away nothing for free)
• Never. but never install or run two different Anti Virus, they will detect each other as threats and you can even provoke serious problems inside the operating system.
• If your software show more results than others, that do not means that is better than the others, is only showing some illusion's work
