Programming.a.baby - (Windows) Shortcut Keys for Applications

An App shortcut will allow you to easy open your favorite program without having to go to Start Menu --> All Programs ...etc

Is true that some Windows Programs and other Applications had already some kind of Shortcut keys, but if you do not know which, you will have always to use the old way.

Lets begin to do ourselves, shall we?

If you are not sure which Application you will like to use, lets try to practicing using a standard windows App.

Lets chose the Notepad for starting

1. First thing to do is to localize where is the Application that we want to use, in this case we know that is a System32 Windows Application, so we will open it using one of the following methods:
   • The start Menu --> All programs --> Accessories --> right click the Notepad and select properties
     
   • The Windows explorer navigating to Windows --> System32 --> press N key until you find it --> right click the Notepad and select properties
   • A fast Shortcut Key MS + R --> write System32 and Enter, press N key until you find it --> right click the Notepad and select properties
2. Now depending your windows version, locate: the cell Shortcut Key, and you will may read "none", that's mean there is no shortcut already for this app
3. Press and old the following key combination CTRL + ALT and then chose one Keyboard key, for example the "N" keyboard key
4. Now you can read inside the Shortcut Key cell the following "CTRL + ALT + N", press Apply and close the window
5. Every Time that you want to open the Notepad Application you just Press and old CTRL + ALT and then press the N key, ( (CTRL + ALT) + N )

Clone shortcuts and unknown apps

Note: is important that you will only use these shortcuts for Programs that you know and trust and use only the necessary

If you install new programs inside your system that you do not trust or know very well, please edit it's properties and check if they have some already defined shortcut that is equal to one of yours.

We do not want to use the same shortcut to open two applications, right! - Above all if there are unknown apps that use the same one.
