Programming.a.baby - (Windows) Shortcut Keys for Desktop

If you already read my previous articles fro Windows Shortcut Keys and toke some time to practice, then this it will be the best moment to also practice the Windows Special Shortcut Keys.
Using shortcuts with keyboard is something that every programmer does, and is faster than using mouse or navigating trough menus, and is not difficult, you just need to practice a bit and then if you forget, return here again and keep the training every day, and soon this it will be your only and favorite way for using your Windows Operating System .
Remember that each time you see "MS" it means your Microsoft Windows Logo Key located near the Alt Key
Test (1) Windows Explorer Shortcut
- Just click MS + E - this it will open the Windows explorer
- Click MS + M - This will minimize all Windows
- Hold on the ALT Key and Hit Table the times it needs it until you bring up the Windows explorer "ALT + TAB" (Within Windows 7 and Vista you can also use the "MS + ALT" combination)
- Do you see Windows explorer again? stop pressing keys, and now hit ALT + F4 - this it will close the window or the program that you are focus at the moment, in this case, the Windows Explorer Window

Test (2) - The "Run" shortcut
- Press MS + R - This will open Run app
- Press ESC (escape key) and you will abandon the Run window
- Press again MS + R and this time lets write something inside the Run window, lets write the word "explorer" (without the quotes of course) and press Enter - This will brings up the Windows Explorer again and you just learn another method to do it
- Now remember how to close the window ? Very well, just press ALT + F4
- Lets learn another way to open things with the Command Windows Application, just press MS + R and write "CMD" , the press Enter - the Command Window will open, now write the word "Explorer" inside and press Enter , you see! the Windows Explorer opens again, now you can close the Windows Explorer and the Cmd window (Cmd window needs to be close manually)

Test (3) Windows "Find" shortcut
- Press MS + F - It will open the windows internal search engine
- Press "ALT + F4" and it's gone
Test (4) Windows Log on
- Press MS + L and you will be out of your Windows session, do not worry, it won't close your programs
- Now press Enter to re enter inside your session case you do not need a password
F# Keys
These are also shortcut keys but will work almost all of them alone and depending what we are doing and which program we have open, it will make some different things. in Windows Interface it will do the follow:
- F1 - (Primary) Windows Help
- F2 - (Names) Renames a folder or a File, if you have the focus on it
- F3 - (Searches) Find next word when you are using the Windows search engine, Windows Explorer, Browser source code tools ...etc
- F4 - (Addresses) It jumps to your address bar within Internet explorer or other browser, windows explorer ...etc
- F5 - (Refresh) It actualizes Windows Desktop, Browsers web pages, Windows explorer ...etc
- F6 - (Navigation) It navigates into menus within Browsers, Win.Explorer ...etc
- F7 - Caret navigation in Web Browsers or special features in other programs
- F8 and F9 - can be used within other programs for special features
- F10 - (Explorer) in Windows 7 it will show and hide windows explorer menu, in Bios will call the save menu
- F11 - (Full Screen) it opens a web page or windows explorer in full screen
- F12 - In Internet Explorer will bring up the advanced tools for programmers and developers
Text Shortcut Keys

- CTRL + A or CTRL + T - Select All Text, folders or files
- CTRL + C - Copy selected text, folders or files
- CTRL + P - Paste selected text, folders or files
- CTRL + X - Temporarily delete until you Past it somewhere else, text, folders or files
- CTRL + B - Make Bold selected text
- CTRL + U - Make Underline selected text
- CTRL + I - Make Italic selected text
- PgUP, PgDn - Move cursor one page view in the document
- Home, End, CTRL + Home, CTRL + End - Move cursor to another extremity of the document
